Attack Your Competitor's Jugular and WIN BIG!
Your competitors are getting business that could be coming to you. They are getting your customers to give them money. They are beating you at your own game. This cannot, and must not go on if you are going to achieve your goals and make your business and life dreams come alive. As a startup, most of your competitors have more money and contacts than you do. They probably have more relationships that help them get business. They may be using some of these relationships to block you out of the market.
Your competitors are attacking you head on. They are coming right at you and using their money, contacts, and existing market presence to knock you out before you even get started. Don't take it personal. It is just business. They are using their superior strength and market presence to beat you. You, if in their position, would probably do the same.
You can't fight a bigger, more capable competitor on their terms. If you do, you will lose. You have to fight them on your terms.
How do you do that? You learn about them. You learn what is critical to their success. You learn what their customers value. Then you find your competitor's weakness.
Once you find their weakness you plan your attack. Plan it based on your strengths. Identify your strengths using these tools.
Now, how can your strength take advantage of your competitor's weaknesses? There is always a way. It will not be obvious, you will have to think differently and improvise to find it.
The jugular vein is a critical vein. It is located in the neck and it carries blood from the head and face. Attacking the jugular describes an aggressive attack. The attack must be applied with speed and the proper technique. Ninjas train hard and practice continuously to be able to respond instinctively when danger strikes. You must do the same. Striking at your competitor's neck must be quick and effective. Your goal is to cut off their supply of money from customers. This cash flow is your competitor's life blood.
You have to apply this principle to your business and your competitors. Aggressively attack your competitor at their weakness. Go after their customers and provide them with a value that they are not getting from your competitors.
Be aggressive and provide this unique value to your new customers and your competitor will be mortally wounded. If your attack is done flawlessly, it could mortally wound your competitor and force them to make more mistakes that drives more customers to you and makes you more money.
